These units were created for an exhibition by Independent Curators International (ICI) at Temp Art Space in New York City. Each unit includes a seating area and a television screen displaying a compilation of works from the Videotage Media Art Collection (VMAC), curated by independent curator/producer Helen Homan Wu. Each unit was cut by CNC from 1 sheet of birch plywood, then assembled - without fasteners - by interlocking cross members. Once assembled heavy duty elastic (bungee) was woven through drilled holes to creat a seat. The pull of the elastic greatly strengthened the interlocking cross members.
